Monthly Club Tournament Results

Kinston's monthly club events are scheduled for the first Sunday of every monthy, unless otherwise noted here. Check back for more info and updated standings.

General format is 2 rounds, from the longs in the morning, shorts after lunch. This may change on occasion to keep things interesting. The only OB, unless advised otherwise, is the parking area beyond the fence on #9, the parking area and street and beyond on #10, and the parking area and soccer fields on #18. No 2-meter rule. Just play from directly under the disc.

Earnings from the monthlies go to the club for funding more structured events, like the King's Cup in May. The Ace pool rolls over if no one makes an ace. If no one claims it by the time it reaches $150.00, it will be capped.

There is an on-going points series which will wrap up in September. Our season runs from October through September.

There was no May monthly due to the King's Cup III. There was a 3Rivers event in Kinston on May 4th, as a warm-up.

Thanks to everyone who came out to play. The weather was a humid 89 degrees with light breeze, a perfect day for disc golf. We played 2 rounds of singles play, first round from the longs, second round from the shorts. We had two women play, but no separate division. We need more women to come out to play.

There were 3 CTPs. 2 were "pick your disc", won by Joe Noble (#7), and TomA (#17), and one package of very cool Fairybugs items won by John ODell (#6). John really parked it, too.

The weather was clear, but hot and humid. We had a tie for 3rd in Open, and it was settled by a throw-off on hole #10. Fred won, which decided payout, but it's still a tie for scoring purposes.

September will be the last monthly of the year for scoring purposes. We'll post the points standing here shortly. Points won in the September monthly will be included in the year. We'll have awards for the first year and a kick-off celebration for our second season in October. Don't miss it! Yep. First Sunday of the month, in both cases.
